A hard-working Bangladesh team was eliminated by India in the quarter finals of the world cup. While the world thought the team did well to reach the quarter finals, everyone has been surprised by the strange noises emanating from that country. First the ICC president said that he does not believe in ICC umpires; That is like Siddaramaiah saying he does not trust Karnataka CID. Now, even their PM has weighed in on the subject.

A BCCI man argued, “This is what happens when you do too many reruns of a fluky win from 8 years back. Just by fans wearing T-shirts and getting dressed like tigers, the team does not win, does it? But that is not what troubles me.”

We asked, “Then?”

“I can understand, if this is about Virat Kohli or Shikar Dhawan or Raina. But a country is making so much noise on a no ball for Rohit Sharma? You think the BCCI are such fools that they would instruct umpires not to give Rohit out? Come on yaar! These are guys who could not chase 100 runs in their backyard against our A team! And if Rohit had got out, Dhoni would have come out and continued thrashing them.”

“What do you plan to do?”

“We are observing the situation. If they continue to make these noises, there is only one choice.”

“What is that?”

“There is a tour to Bangladesh that India is supposed to make after IPL. If they continue talking up, then we will not send anyone from the regular Indian team.”

“Then what happens?”

“See, Karnataka is thrashing everyone in domestic cricket. Domestic players are asking us to spare them from this team. Even Rest of India is no match for them. Karnataka too has asked us for more competition. So, our plan B is to actually send the Karnataka team as India to Bangladesh and then watch the fun.”

“Are you serious?”

“Come on man! They are the ones who lost 6 wickets for 4 runs to Stuart Binny. Now imagine Vinay Kumar and co going at them! Hopefully they see sense!”
